I moved to Weston-super-Mare as a child and attended Priory School and Broadoak Sixth Form before joining the Co-Operative as part of their Management Programme. After completing a successful programme with the Co-op, I worked in financial services before moving to the recruitment industry which saw me move to Swindon, Bristol and then I took the bold step of New Zealand. It was a life changing experience for me in many ways, I experienced a country and cultures that had changed my outlook on life and most importantly, I met my wife in New Zealand, who happened to be from Somerset!
In 2007 we returned back to the UK and chose Winscombe to set up our family home, we now have a 2 year old daughter who is keeping me on my toes.
Professionally, for the last 8 years, I’ve worked for Imperial Brands and have gained experience in a number of functions including Business Transformation and Human Resources. I’m also a certified mental health first aider.
Outside of work, I’m a keen golfer and play when I can find the time. In recent years, I’ve reignited my passion for music and learnt the Ukulele and restarted playing the piano after years away from it!
