With a new month beginning this month, now is the perfect time to begin a Gratitude Journal. This is a great way to practise being mindful. Mindfulness means paying full attention to something and slowing down to really notice what you are doing or what is happening around you.
In these strange times, a Gratitude Journal helps you to recognise and appreciate the positive things in our lives, no matter how small they might be. Every day, jot down something that has made you happy or something that you feel grateful for - it could be a shared joke that made you laugh, a beautiful sunrise or a kind message from a friend. You will soon begin to see that even though our lives are very unusual at the moment, we all have a lot to be thankful for.
