Churchill Football Cluster @ Churchill Academy, 1st October
After a good, long summer Sandford Primary were back to it with the first sporting fixture of the year, the Churchill Academy Football Cluster. With a great turn out from Sandford Primary, we were able to field two teams. Both teams played very well and showed excellent self-discipline and grit alongside some fantastic examples of sportsmanship and fair play. Well done to all those children involved and especially to the two captains, Charlie Phippen and Oliver Tomlinson, whose leadership, kindness and sportsman-like attitude were a credit to both of them and the school as a whole. A special thank you to all adults who helped in the organisation of the teams, I know you wanted to be out there playing too!
