Writing - Planning a Myth
This week, we are going to be looking at planning our own myths! You certainly are a lucky bunch as you've already had some amazing ideas about certain characters, settings and even monsters that you can magpie from yourselves!
I am keen to emphasise, we are not writing the whole myth this week! Rather, we are just planning it so we are ready over the next couple of weeks to do it section by section (easier that way !)
This is still where we can include our amazing vocabulary, language and the absolutely incredible imaginations that I know all of you have!
Below you will find the lesson resources that will help you plan your own myth! Maybe, if planned and written well, it still be told 1000 years from now!
Hi all!
Welcome back! I hope you all had a wonderful half term and a well-deserved rest, I know I did!
This week, we are going to be focusing on our positive mindsets and how we can use them to make us feel better about the current situation. We have all found lockdown tricky at times and it is really important that we think positively about the future, no matter what it holds for us! In the lesson, we will be discussing how lockdown has made us feel, some challenges we have faced and how we can view things in a optimistic light. Our aim will be to write a letter to ourselves, ready for us to read when we come back to school! All the resources you will need, as well as some useful websites, will be below. Also, you will find an example letter written by a child in Class 5 that he has written to inspire himself when he returns to school! I look forward to seeing you all on Monday afternoon!
