Apostrophes
This week, we are going to be looking at using apostrophes. They are those funny looking floating commas that we can use in two different ways. One of these ways is for when there is a missing letter which we call contraction e.g. You are becomes you're or I am becomes I'm. The other use is for when something belongs to something or someone else which we call possession e.g. The girl's dog or The boy's toy.
Watch the Oak Academy lesson below to refresh your understanding of apostrophes and then have a go at the worksheets. Don't feel you have to do all the worksheets, just choose the level of challenge that you feel comfortable with.
