This week is a recap of long multiplication and division.
The White Rose worksheets will gradually get harder, so make sure you are confident before you move onto the next one. Task 1, 2 & 3 are multiplication, and Task 4, 5 & 6 are division. If you want to do Task 1 and Task 4 only, that's absolutely fine. Year 5s - I'm looking for you to be able to do Task 3 and 6 though!
Remember the method we use (including dropping an egg for multiplication of 2 digits) - our working wall from Class 4 is pictured below to help you too, as is the really catchy multiplication song we used!

With this mystery, you need to work out the answers to the word problems. The answers will give you a code - this code will match to one of the possibilities in each section. You need to work out the SUSPECT, LOCATION and WEAPON. Good luck!
Your Arithmetic practise this week is to try out some Multiplication and Division on Daily 10 – you can choose which level you go on (lowest would be Level 3 though!) and the time limit you give yourself for each question.
