Dear Parents/Carers
Many of you will already be aware that a number of schools across the country are allowing their pupils a late start on Monday morning, following the UEFA European Final on Sunday evening.
We should all be remarkably proud and jubilant to know that we are about to change history for the first time in 55 years! We are mindful that Sunday may be a very exciting and tiring day and so we will be extending our soft entry to school on this occasion only. School/Breakfast club will open as normal, and staff will welcome children on the gate from 8:45am (8am Breakfast Club) as normal. If, however, your child has had an extremely late night and you know a lie in would help, we are happy for children to arrive up to 10am without a late mark being recorded on the register. Children arriving after 10am will be recorded late/unauthorised absence.
We would rather have children well rested and ready to learn than absent and/or exhausted for the day.
We hope you all have a wonderful weekend and that Sunday brings something to lift the country’s spirits.
