A daunting fixture for any active child, the NSSPEA Cross Country involved Year 3, 4, 5 and 6s competing against many other children from across North Somerset. The task set was to run a distance of 800m for Year 3/4s, 1000m for Year 5s and 1200m for Year 6s. With a mixture of seasoned runners and newbies, the children all ran their hearts out showing true grit and determination to push themselves through to the finish line. Well done to the entire squad! Also, a huge thank you to all adults that assisted during the event.

Combining some experienced runners with some newbies, the Year 3/4 boys highlighted the value of determination by running a fantastic race and pushing themselves through to the end.
Year 3/4 Boys: Kieron Avery (7), Samuel Best (35), Eric Hartnell (36) and Daniel Hubbard (3).
Knowing they were up against a strong field of runners, the Year 5 girls showed great discipline in pacing their running throughout and finishing with a flourish.
Year 5 Girls: Bella Smith (16), Maisie Vowles (38) and Imogen Harris (40).
Some superb runs by a squad with minimal Cross Country experience, the Year 5 boys should be very proud of their achievement.
Year 5 Boys: Tom Hathway (19), Sidney Stanley Whiteley (52), Charlie Thomas, Ben Marks (36) and Oliver Jones (17).
Led by their fearless captain Lola Hughes, the Year 6 girls ran a superb race with many finishing with a Personal Best time. Well done girls!
