This week have a go at playing these classic games which encourage all aspects of speaking and listening.
Most of us are familiar with the game "I Spy" and know it is an easy game to play anywhere, indoors or out. Have a few games this week of I Spy but change it from the conventional initial letter of the word to something else for example:
I spy with my little eye something that is green.
I spy with my little eye some thing that is fast.
I spy with my little eye something that is round.
Another favourite which encourages questioning skills. One of you thinks of an object and the other(s) asks up to 20 questions which can only be answered yes/no to try and work out what it is. To make it easier you can collect a group of objects and choose one of those. This allows your child to ask a question and take away the ones they know it can't be to help narrow it down.
