Jack and the Beanstalk.
This term is all about exploring growth. We will be studying how plants and trees grow and look.
To support our literacy learning, we have chosen the well-known story of 'Jack and the Beanstalk' to help the children develop their own story telling and mark making. This week we will listen to and look to build on our knowledge of retelling the story ourselves. The story is attached below, as well as a story map activity for your child to sequence. This will help support them to retell the story in their own words. We would like you to record your child retelling their own version using the story map activity and send this to us on ClassDojo. Encourage your child to think about how the story begins and perhaps add a little intonation as they verbalise some of the different characters if they can! You may like to read the story through a few times, so that they are able to pick up some of the repeated vocabulary.
