Introducing Amelia Earhart....
Amelia Mary Earhart was an American aviation pioneer and author. Earhart was the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. She set many other records, wrote best-selling books about her flying experiences, and was instrumental in the formation of The Ninety-Nines, an organization for female pilots.
Activity 1: Week Beginning 22nd February
This week, I would like you to research Amelia Earhart using the powerpoint below. You might like to have a go at the wordsearch and the quiz cards too if you would like a little more to do.
Activity 2: Week Beginning 1st March
Have a go at colouring and thinking at the same time. Colour the picture of Amelia Earhart and imagine what it would have been like to soar in the sky. I would like you to colour and stick the picture in your book and write your thoughts underneath.
Activity 3: Week Beginning 8th March
First, I would like you to complete the reading task attached below.
These are differentiated so you are able to choose the reading sheet and questions that you feel you can do.
Using any facts you found out in the reading activity, I would like you to create your own poster that shares anything you have found out about Earhart. I would like you to draw your own picture of her, have a bold colourful title and different facts that you have researched written in writing pencil as neatly as you can.
