We made our own papyrus paper and then wrote our names in hieroglyphics. This week we've been looking at the book 'I am the Mummy Heb-Nefert' and have drawn a mummy using chalk & charcoal and written a poem about them.
The sunflowers we made as a school to celebrate #HelloYellow Day!
We've been writing poems about the mask of Tutankhamun to introduce our topic on Ancient Egypt.
The Shrew with the Flu! We really enjoyed our time with author Will Hamilton-Davies. He read the book to us and we drew the characters from the story ... and then turned the playground into Shrew's forest!
Continuing our work on 'Here We Are', we looked at the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. We each took one and drew something to illustrate what that right meant to us.
As part of our work on the book 'Here We Are' by Oliver Jeffers, we've been thinking about the world and our part in it. We've been looking at the song 'What a Wonderful World' bu Louis Armstrong and changing the words to make it about our school. Take a look at the photos of our verses and the videos of some of our performances - technical issues meant the first takes didn't all work, hence the shorter versions of some!
