THIS WILL BE AN ONLINE LESSON on Wednesday 6th January.
Read the story (and/or watch the zoom recording). Can you imagine a conversation held between the brothers or the Supreme God and his youngest son? What might they say? What mood would they show through their choice of words and their tone?
Your challenge is to write a piece of dialogue which tells a part of this story. It must convey the characters' mood and move the action in the story on.
For example:
"Look my brothers, with father's gift to me I am able to take on a mortal form!" gasped the youngest son.
The eldest called, "Watch out! We have no experience of solid earth; I fear for your safety; this is very strange for us brother."
"Don't be silly," he danced and spun, then stamped his feet with a giant grin plastered across his face. "Just look at me! I am the first. I am to be the very first human here on this Earth."
"Yes brother. But pay attention, you are no more special than the rest of us. See, we are spirits: we have very important responsibilities on this world too." complained the second son, with his brows raised in frustration.
"I know, I know, yet brothers there is so much for me to explore and experience here on Earth. The excitement is taking my breath away. Now I shall go, I shall adventure across these lands and discover the wonders that await me. This is such an incredible gift from our father - I am a lucky son indeed." he gloated as he disappeared into the wilderness, leaving his spirited brothers behind.
