Applique Designs (or collage...)
Have you got any fabric lying around at home? Maybe you have some old clothing that your parents won't mind you cutting up?
Now you have explored African patterns over the past three weeks:
Can you use the shapes, patterns and colours of the Kente Cloth to create a mask design?
IF you have some fabric, try cutting out pieces to sew onto a base shape (see the images above). Choose your colours carefully, like the Kente Cloth, so your mask represents something.
If you don't have any fabric or sewing materials, perhaps use pages from magazines, newspapers or your own designs cut out and glue them into a mask design like a collage.
